DEPRESSION can be characterized by some of the following symptoms:

  • Feeling down or blue most days for the last two weeks
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Insomnia or increased sleep
  • Changes in appetite
  • Feelings of hopelessness or worthlessness
  • Thoughts of self-harm or suicide which requires immediate professional medical attention (call your doctor or go to the nearest ER)

Common warning signs:

Lack of motivation, sadness or feeling blue, difficulty doing and completing tasks, fatigue, lack of caring or interest in things, less joy in activities that used to be joyful, lack of dreaming or setting goals for the future, irritability, anger, and crying, etc.
